Every Underwood product passes through a seven-stage, zero-tolerance quality assurance protocol before it ever reaches your soil. We reject shortcuts because farmers cannot afford them.

Stage quality protocol
Every stage mandatory
ISO 9001:2015
Certified quality management
Externally audited
Batch traceability
Source to final pack
± 2%
Potency variance tolerance
Beyond it, the batch is rejected
Quality assurance
Every stage is mandatory and no batch skips a step. This is the non-negotiable commitment behind the Underwood name.
All incoming raw materials — NPK salts, chelating agents, biological carriers, surfactants, and organic inputs — undergo ICP-MS elemental analysis and microbial contamination screening before entering production.
Continuous pH, conductivity, temperature, and viscosity monitoring throughout synthesis ensures each batch progresses within exact specification windows. Any deviation triggers an immediate batch hold and investigation.
HPLC chromatographic analysis, mass spectrometry, and atomic absorption spectroscopy quantify exact active ingredient concentrations and verify absence of impurities at parts-per-billion detection thresholds.
Each new batch is validated against our reference standard — the exact formulation whose efficacy was verified across multi-location field trials. Any potency deviation beyond ±2% tolerance triggers batch rejection.
Full forward-and-backward traceability from raw material source to final packaging. Every batch carries a unique traceability code linking it to supplier records, production logs, and QC certificates.
Container integrity, label accuracy, fill weight verification, and tamper-evident seal integrity checks. Packaging materials are tested for chemical compatibility to prevent product degradation.
Only batches that pass all six preceding stages receive final QC release sign-off. Released batches are archived in our sample bank for two years beyond the expiry date to support any future field investigation.
Manufacturing
Research only holds its value if manufacturing can reproduce it exactly, batch after batch.
Stainless-steel reactors with automated dosing and pH control, enabling precise scale-up from bench to commercial batch without formulation drift.
Exothermic chelation reactions are conducted under precisely controlled temperature profiles to ensure chelate stability and prevent unwanted co-precipitation.
Reverse osmosis and deionisation deliver ultra-pure water (under 1 µS conductivity) for every formulation process, eliminating interference from dissolved minerals.
A fully equipped analytical laboratory — HPLC, AAS, pH and conductivity meters, spectrophotometers — returning same-day QC results for rapid production decisions.
Certificate of analysis
Every Underwood batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis. If you have questions about our standards, or need batch documentation for an audit, our QA team will supply it.
